Bush Kindy Program

We are excited to introduce Bush Kindy to our 4 Year old Program next term.
This will begin on the 24th of July 2020. Bush Kindy will take place each Friday in the specific Bush Kindy space, next door to the ELC outdoor yard. Due to the continuation of  ‘Save the Children’ Playgroup, the newly renovated Library will also be accessible during inclement weather. This will allow for inquiry play-based learning utilising the facilities including the new STEM/ Digital Technologies area. At times, we will use excursions as a means to explore the natural world and environment within the community of Ceduna, we would love parent involvement when these occur.

Children will need to pack:

  • Spare Clothes
  • Recess Snack
  • Waterproof accessories (i.e. gumboots and rain jackets)

The purpose of Bush Kindy is as follows:

  • Children to connect deeper with their natural environment
  • Ensure all children are meeting the attendance recommendations (15 hours per week over the course of 1 year)
  • Explore and develop children sense of curiosity and inquiry
  • Further connections with the School to develop Lutheran ethos through attendance at chapels (3 per term)
