OUR SCHOOL BELIEVES THAT :

  • A school that espouses Christ is one that practices Christian Education.
  • A Christian Education provides activities that encourage its students, staff and wider community to give expression of their faith.
  • All life should become a celebration of discipleship and staff should model what Christ means to them.
  • All things come from God and each person is encouraged to find his or her place in the big picture, to discover the talents that God has provided and to return those talents to Him through a life of service to others.
  • “Jesus is the reason for our existence and the presence of the school. He is its hub, its pivot, its whole being. Christ is in all things.” – Colossians 3:11

OUR VALUES

Crossways Lutheran School is committed to providing its learning community with opportunities to grow and to be empowered by continuing to develop meaningful relationships with all stakeholders and strategically investing in facilities and resources.

In an environment where everyone feels valued, we will empower our learning community to celebrate success, invest and contribute in their own learning.

This is expressed in the school’s Vision Statement.

“Working Together Towards a Brighter Future”

At all times, students, staff and parents abide by the simple code of conduct:

“Love one another as I have loved you” – John 15:12

We strongly believe that we are “One in Christ”.
We strive to cater for children and parents who are from different backgrounds.

Crossways Lutheran School acknowledges each individual as a unique creation of God, one who belongs to God and is equipped to glorify God in all things. The aim is to provide the best possible learning situation for each student in a warm, caring and friendly environment. We function, guided by the following :

  • That school exists for children
  • That education is a cooperative venture between parents, teachers, children and the wider community.
  • That education is catering for group and individual differences and valuing these differences.
  • That education caters for the spiritual, mental, physical, social and emotional needs of the children
as they acquire their basic skills.
  • That we teach to foster a love of learning.

The reason for the establishment of the school was the desire of the local Lutheran Parish to provide the opportunity for children to grow up within a Christian education context. Crossways is a school with a Christian ethos that is based on God’s Word as contained in the Scriptures :

  • We are all one in Christ (Ephesians 4:5)
  • We are all equal in God’s sight (Ephesians 4: 4-6)
  • We must love one another as God loves us (John 15:12) Feed My lambs (John 21:15)
